The Beacon drop-in Centre in Banbury. Helping the homeless.

The Beacon is a place where people can come to find a warm welcoming environment and friendly atmosphere. We welcome anyone who is suffering from homelessness, mental health or substance abuse problems, or anyone feeling isolated and marginalised within society. Feel free to call in. (18’s and over please)

Opening Hours

Monday to Thursday (except for the second Thursday each month) 10am to 12.15 pm

Need Support?

We offer hot drinks and simple snacks, a listening ear, shelter, advice, and connection to other agencies which may be of help. A health visitor calls in every other Tuesday.

Workers from the Connections Floating Support Team (DISH) call in on Mondays and Wednesdays and other times as required. DISH can help with a whole raft of support options and will refer to other agencies and support services as required. We also administer a ‘Return to Home’ fund on behalf of CDC to allow people to return to home territory where there may be more appropriate support available.

Where are we?

We are situated in St. Mary’s centre, Horsefair; opposite Banbury cinema and to the right of St. Mary’s Church Click here for a map.
